One of the best meals I’ve had…
So it’s Restaurant Week here in Ann Arbor, and my friend and I decided to try it out. We wanted to live a little and splurge on dinner, so last night we ended up going to Vinology Wine Bar and Restaurant on Main St. The place is very fancy and modern with an awesome wine collection. The dinner special was three courses for $25 a person. We went during happy hour, so I also had a glass of merlot at half the price. This was my meal:
First Course: “pottage parisienne” - truffled potato and leek soup with parsnip chips
Main Course: “surf & turf” - soy glazed tempura tiger shrimp, braised short rib, gingered sushi rice, napa cabbage, carrot-lime leaf coulis
Dessert: “shortcake deconstruction” - warm lavender glazed biscuit, meyer lemon curd, white peaches, cucumber gelee, buttermilk rubble, caramelized cocoa nibs
AMAZING! Seriously, one of the best meals I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. Dinner was flawless and definitely a worthwhile experience. I wish I took pictures of the meal. Dessert was the most impressive. I highly recommend this place.
